Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
By accessing or using the AnyoneFinder platform (“we,” “us,” or “our,” collectively referred to as “AnyoneFinder”) and all affiliated websites, services, or applications (the “Service”), you accept these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Your continued use signifies your understanding and agreement that these Terms govern your relationship with AnyoneFinder in all aspects relating to data access, record searches, personal information usage, user conduct, and legal recourse. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately. AnyoneFinder provides an aggregated collection of publicly available records that may reference names, addresses, phone numbers, associated social media profiles, and additional public data sets, arranged in a user-friendly interface for informational inquiries, general background checks, genealogical pursuits, or personal curiosity. These Terms herein form a legally binding agreement between you (“the user”) and AnyoneFinder.
We want to ensure you have a full understanding of the scope of the Service. AnyoneFinder is neither a consumer reporting agency (CRA) nor intended for use in tenant, credit, or employment screening under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We disclaim liability for any misuse that contravenes local, state, or federal statutes pertaining to data privacy or regulated background checks. Our system aggregates records from open repositories, including but not limited to municipal court filings, property deeds, phone directories, and publicly indexed social media. We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of such records, as public data inherently fluctuates in timeliness and availability. This disclaimer applies throughout these Terms.
Your acceptance of these Terms also extends to any guidelines, policies, or disclaimers referenced or linked herein, such as our Privacy Policy. You represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is older, and possess the legal authority to enter these Terms. If you use AnyoneFinder on behalf of a business entity, organization, or other entity, you affirm that you have the legal power to bind said entity to these Terms, and in that event, “you” or “your” will refer to that entity.
Scope of Service and User Conduct
The scope of Service includes the platform’s website, mobile applications, and any associated software or communications mediums used for conducting people searches. Our system arranges data so that you may enter details such as a name, approximate age, or city/state. In return, we provide results matched from aggregated public data sets. By using AnyoneFinder, you agree to abide by all applicable laws, especially those regulating personal data usage, privacy, and harassment. You shall not use the system to stalk, threaten, or intimidate any individual. Harassing behavior, or leveraging the data for illicit activities, violates not only these Terms but potentially local and federal statutes. Any suspicion of illegal activity may lead to immediate account termination and, where necessary, contact with law enforcement.
We expect good-faith usage from our user base. AnyoneFinder reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a user’s conduct or query patterns appear suspicious, overly aggressive (e.g., automated scraping), or in violation of relevant data-protection legislation. We may suspend or limit access to the Service pending review. Continuous or severe violations can result in permanent revocation of your access rights. No refunds or compensation will be owed under these circumstances, as preserving the integrity of the platform and ensuring lawful usage is paramount. We further disclaim any duty to store or maintain user queries. All user sessions, search logs, or other ephemeral data may be periodically purged from our servers without notice.
Intellectual Property and Limited License
Unless otherwise noted, all intellectual property related to the Service, including but not limited to text, layouts, graphics, logos, compiled data, and underlying code, remains the exclusive property of AnyoneFinder or its licensors. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform solely for personal, lawful purposes. This license does not grant you the right to reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute, or exploit any part of the Service in any manner inconsistent with normal usage scenarios. You also agree not to attempt to modify, reverse-engineer, or disassemble any portion of the Service. Unauthorized copying or scraping of data can lead to legal action and immediate revocation of your account privileges.
Any brand names, trademarks, or service marks that appear on AnyoneFinder remain the property of their respective owners. Reference to or display of such marks does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the trademark holder. You must not use them without express permission from their rightful owner.
Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AnyoneFinder provides the Service “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not represent or warrant that (a) the Service will meet your requirements, (b) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (c) the results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable, or (d) any identified errors in the Service will be corrected promptly. While we work diligently to provide reliable information, we do not guarantee that any results or data are always updated or accurate. Public record repositories can contain outdated, conflicting, or incomplete data beyond our control. You assume all responsibility for decisions made or actions taken based on information acquired through the Service.
To the extent permissible under applicable law, in no event shall AnyoneFinder, its directors, employees, agents, partners, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or losses from business interruption. We disclaim liability regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed one hundred dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limits may not apply to you fully. Nonetheless, we aim to limit liability where permissible to ensure a balanced approach to providing a mass-access public record aggregator.
User Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold AnyoneFinder and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from your misuse or misinterpretation of public data, violation of these Terms, or infringement of the rights of any individual or entity. This indemnification extends to claims arising from your search queries if used in an unlawful or harmful manner, such as identity theft, harassment, or violation of privacy statutes. We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will cooperate fully with our defense of such claim.
We may, in our sole discretion, notify you if a third party threatens legal action because of your activities on the Service, or if an actual lawsuit is filed. Failure to respond to or participate in your own defense may result in default judgments or additional liabilities that you remain fully responsible for. We disclaim any duty or obligation to actively monitor each user’s conduct but reserve the right to investigate alleged violations or take legal action if necessary.
Data Usage Limitations and Record Removal
Though we do not impose strict daily or monthly search quotas for standard personal usage, we do reserve the right to curtail or suspend access if we observe patterns suggesting large-scale data mining or automated queries. If you are aware of erroneous data relating to yourself, you may request removal via our designated Remove My Data forms. We will review such requests under applicable regulations, verifying your identity to ensure malicious actors are not removing legitimate entries. We do not guarantee an exact timeframe for removals, as that depends on multiple factors, including source data updates, technical processes, and any relevant laws. We also do not guarantee permanent removal if the data is publicly republished by external sources beyond our control.
By submitting a data removal request, you acknowledge that certain minimal information might remain for compliance or logging reasons, or if mandated by law enforcement to preserve logs. We make good-faith efforts to ensure you are not further searchable for the removed data points, but we cannot retroactively delete older search logs or third-party caches that predate your request. For more details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
Jurisdiction, Dispute Resolution, and Policy Integration
Disputes or claims arising from these Terms or your usage of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the relevant jurisdiction, typically your state or country of primary residence if not otherwise stipulated. Where permissible, we may enforce mandatory binding arbitration clauses to resolve disputes without a jury trial. Nothing in these Terms shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect.
This Terms of Service document is part of a broader framework that includes our Privacy Policy and other references. In the event of inconsistency between any statements on the platform and these Terms, the Terms shall prevail. The headings or titles used in this document are purely for convenience and do not limit or affect the scope of any provision.
In certain regions, local consumer protection laws may grant additional or conflicting rights not specifically disclaimed here. We respect those legal frameworks, but to the extent permitted, disclaim and limit liability or warranties. Our goal is to operate within permissible legal boundaries while providing you a robust platform for searching publicly available records.
You may contact our designated legal department through official support channels for clarification on any part of these Terms or to raise a dispute. However, informal resolution is often the quickest path. We encourage you to contact customer support for queries about removing data, clarifying usage guidelines, or addressing search issues before considering more formal dispute resolution channels.
Finally, we reiterate that although the data accessible on AnyoneFinder is derived from “public records,” no actual personally identifiable information from real individuals is stored or used in the manner typical of data brokers. Within the broader textual content of these Terms and all disclaimers, we acknowledge that certain references may be purely hypothetical. By using AnyoneFinder, you accept that no actual personal data is being exposed, we disclaim all liability for any interpretive misunderstanding, and you indemnify us from any claims arising out of reliance on such hypothetical listings which may not correspond to real persons or real events.
